ISPRS Commission III honours the best papers of the Symposium. Criteria are
(1) the quality of the written paper and
(2) the quality of the oral or poster presentation.
The author/s is/are meant to be at the beginning of their career. The price committee consists of the president, the vice-president and one chair of each of the working groups. The price for the best paper consists of 500.-- € for the best paper and 250.-- € for the second and third best paper and a certificate.
